Fire damages Windsor Road home

By Elizabeth Melville

The Newnan Times-Herald

A fire may have done extensive damage to a residential home early Saturday morning, but it didn't break the family's spirit.

Firefighters from stations one and two and Rescue One were sent to combat a fire at 7 a.m. Saturday on Windsor Road, which is located off Roscoe Road.

The two-story residence was 30 percent involved by the time the firefighters arrived on the scene.

The homeowner, whose name was not available Saturday, is a local minister.

He and his family had been asleep when the fire started between the kitchen and the living room for reasons unknown.

Everyone evacuated safely.

A witness on the scene estimated that a total of 50 percent of the home was damaged in the fire.
