The bulk of renovations at Drake Stadium are on target for completion by May 18, just in time for Newnan High School’s Class of 2012 to hold its commencement at the updated venue.
Installation of the sound system and stadium seating are current priorities, and paving from the concession area to Armory Road will be finished by May 18.
“I don’t see any major problems being ready for graduation,” said Associate Superintendent of Coweta County Schools Jerry Davis. “We are on schedule and where we need to be right now.”
