Main Street Newnan will be welcoming the spring event season with its Spring Art Walk on Friday.
The annual event will be from 5-8 p.m. in downtown Newnan.
Artists from Newnan and the surrounding area will have their artwork on display in more than 20 downtown locations. Artists will be available to answer questions and discuss their artwork. Event maps, refreshments and entertainment will be available at various locations.
Twenty-three downtown business locations are participating in this year’s event and will feature artists displaying a wide variety of mediums. Everything from oil on canvass to engraving, pottery, photography and acrylics will be featured. As an added benefit, Musicology will be partnering with Main Street Newnan by featuring several groups of musicians in various locations around downtown.
“I encourage everyone to visit historic downtown Newnan… meet and enjoy some of the Southeast’s finest artists, browse through our unique shops and have dinner at one of our delectable restaurants,” says Main Street Manager JoAnn Gentry.
Also coming up is Newnan’s popular Taste of Newnan food festival, which returns to the Court Square on April 18.
The family food event showcases local restaurants and caterers and gives attendees the opportunity to sample foods that these businesses do best.
The bi-annual “Taste” brings more than 8,000 people into the downtown area for the event 5-8:30 p.m. featuring local restaurants and caterers.
