Deadline for flood assistance applications is on Nov. 23

Authorities are reminding that the last day to register for flood assistance is Nov. 23, notes Patricia Palmer, Coweta County public affairs director.

Monday is the final day that survivors of the Georgia floods can register for Federal Emergency Management Agency - FEMA Individual Assistance programs or Small Business Administration (SBA) loans.

Apply online at www.disasterassistance.gov, or by phone by calling 800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 800-462-7585.

Those affected by the floods may also receive one-on-one assistance with their SBA loans for homeowners, renters and businesses of all sizes at one of several remaining Disaster Loan Outreach Centers.

--Cobb County, The Threadmill, Suite 120, 5000 Austell/Powder Springs Road, Austell, GA 30106 (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

--Douglas County, Old Douglas County Courthouse, 6754 Broad Street, Douglasville, GA 30134 (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

--Fulton County, Government Center, 141 Pryor Street, SW, Atlanta, GA 30303 (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.)

Flood victims are encouraged to stop by one of the Disaster Loan Recovering Centers before they close.
