Coweta Schools Open on Friday

by Staff Reports

All Coweta County Schools will be open for school on Friday, Feb. 14.

On Thursday, Coweta County school bus drivers rode their regular routes to test for any troublesome areas on the road, reported Dean Jackson, spokesperson for the Coweta County School System.

Any issues found were fixed with the help of Coweta County government to ensure a safe trip to school in the morning.

Coweta-area power companies also worked throughout Thursday to ensure power is available at all schools.

“The Coweta school system appreciates the cooperation and hard work of the power companies, county government, city governments, emergency management and other Coweta authorities to prepare for a Friday opening,” said Jackson.
