Coweta Schools Closed Tuesday, Jan. 28

Coweta County schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan 28.

Administrators decided to close schools due to warnings of severe winter weather conditions moving into the Coweta County area during the day. All student extracurricular activities scheduled for Tuesday are also canceled.

All Coweta County staff should report as normal.

The school system will continue to monitor weather and driving conditions in Coweta County for Wednesday, Jan 29. For updates on the status of Coweta schools, please visit our website at www.times-herald.com, and monitor local and regional news stations.

Meriwether County has also canceled school. Schools there will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
