Coweta Lodge installs 2012 officers

The 2012 officers for Coweta Lodge 60 F&AM, were installed by District Deputy Grand Master Henry Johnson, twice a past Master of this Masonic lodge.

Ron Reddish, Worshipful Master from Newnan, is manager of Information Technology for Georgia State University; Wayne Kelley, Senior Warden from west Newnan, owns K&S Glass in Newnan; Gene Alford, Junior Warden from Newnan, was with Georgia Power for 34 years; Bobby Langley, Treasurer from Newnan, is retired from Colonial Stores and Kmart Warehouse; David Smith, Secretary, from Newnan, is a retired Newnan Police lieutenant; Allan Rainwater, Chaplain, from Newnan, is retired from Yokogawa and is a retired United Methodist minister; Ben Floyd, Senior Deacon, from Newnan, is a manager with Pike Nurseries; Jay Hughes, Junior Deacon, from Newnan, is a member of Wealth Guard Management, LLC; Tim Ulinski, Senior Steward, has been with UPS for 22 years; Jeff Thompson, Junior Steward, from Newnan, is a retired Army lieutenant colonel, counterintelligence expert and a former Director of Security at the White House. He is presently the Emergency Preparedness and Security manager with the U.S. Department of Labor. Charles Smith, Tiler, from Newnan, retired SGM Army intelligence and retired Deputy G2 and Chief Intel/ Security Div., Ft. Stewart, GA.

Coweta Lodge 60, chartered in 1847, is one of the oldest Masonic lodges in Georgia. Two of its members have been Governor of Georgia, William Y. Atkinson and Ellis Arnall; many of its members have been instrumental in the development of Newnan and Coweta County.

Located on Sewell Road, the Lodge has about 100 members and meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:30 p.m., with dinner and fellowship at 6:30 p.m. Freemasonry is an ancient fraternity comprised of upstanding men who believe in God and are devoted to their country, families, neighbors and each other. Masons do not recruit members, but welcome candidates who share their ideals.
