Coweta Republicans looking to 'take back the White House'

For the second consecutive year, the Coweta Republican Party's Precinct Mass Meeting was bursting at the seams.
Held Saturday at the Carnegie Library in downtown Newnan, the meeting's purpose was to elect delegates and alternate delegates to the March 10 Coweta County Convention -- not to choose precinct leaders to establish the basic party structure and leadership for the next election year, as reported in Tuesday's edition of The Newnan Times-Herald. Precinct leader elections take place every two years and were not part of this year's meeting.
Coweta County Republican Party Chairman Joe Beamon said he was pleased with the turnout.
"We're very happy with the way things went and we look look forward to having a good convention March 10," Beamon said. "We had quite a number of new people attend and get involved, and that was a good thing to see."
Coming up for Republicans:
n District Convention, April 14 in Warm Springs: Delegates will elect three delegates and three alternate delegates to the National
Convention in Tampa, Florida to represent the Third Congressional District.
n State Convention, May 18-19 in Columbus: Delegates will elect 31 at-large delegates and 31 at-large alternate delegates to the National Convention in Tampa, Florida to represent Georgia. In addition, delegates will elect a National Committeeman and National Committee Woman.
With more than 200 delegates in place for the county convention, Beamon said excitement is building for election season.
"We're looking forward to the presidential race and taking back the White House this year," he said.

heard of an NDN named Bubba. However one must remember why one has the freedom to chose and voice their opinion. Our Constitution and The Bill of Rights . Yes I'm hollering loud and clear because our present administration is disregarding our Constitution and the Bill of Rights. And will disarm us if they can by destroying our 2nd amendment rights. Bubba needs to stay informed on the issues and realize there's a difference between welfare and rights by treaty.

Please read thoroughly both first and second amendments and perhaps you'll have better understanding of the meaning and significance of both. I do not believe that Joe Cool nor myself have stated that he's torn down either one as of yet. However they both are being threatened . When a Supreme Court Justice (Ginsburg) has stated negative comments concerning our present Constitution and if re-elected Obama has the opportunity to appoint three more liberals to the Supreme Court , yes we could very well kiss our second amendments rights goodbye. Once re-elected Obama has free reign with no recourse to further his socialist agenda.

The Ringmaster is an arrogant dictator wannabe and has little regard for the Constitution or The Bill of Rights. I do not see expressing my fear of losing certain unalienable rights as being hate. I do not feel expressing my opposition to abortion , same sex marriage or over spending as being hateful. Having your own opinion which may conflict with the opinion or opinions of others does not constitute hate. I am a member of the American Indian Movement ( A.I.M.) and the NRA and have no ties with your K.K.K.

On the 1st amendment in 2009 Obama signed a executive order stating any company bidding for federal contracts disclose all financial contributions to candidates standing for election. Who the company workers donated to. The law was struck down in court and obama used his state of the union address in 2010 to criticize the ruling againist him.

The 2nd amendment your hero obama made this comment in Dec. He told congress that he doesn't consider himself bound by fed laws that limit his ability to use tax dollars to promote gun control. Also the next president will be able to appoint 3 supreme court justices. If obama appoints them with the help of feinstein and schumer in the senate who hate guns then you will see more laws to hurt the law abiding citizen. I can give you more examples.

Joe and 2crows. how exactly has Obama torn down the 1st or 2nd amendment? The 1st amendment speaks to freedom of religion, press, speach, assembly, and petitioning the government. Please provide an example of which presidential executive order Obama has signed that infringes on any of this. I can go to any church I want, read any newspaper, occupy any park in America, and email my representatives whenever I want. 1st amendment upheld!
The 2nd speaks to the right to keep and bears arms and assemble a militia. I have a gun, and the GA National Guard is effectively a militia. That passes the smell test to me. I know that some media present the idea that Obama's policies are against the constitution, but can someone please present evidence of this and not more hateful vitriol?

in seeing which GOP candidate will eventually get the bid. With all the mud slinging going on inside the republican party, I can't imagine the amount of money and disregard that will go into trying to publicly destroy Obama.The problem is that while you are screaming and yelling and causing a scene the president will be elected for four more years because, believe it or not, there are more poor people than rich white males that have nothing better to do but sit around and complain about our country rather than getting up and helping others in their own communities.

Still you avoid addressing the issues such XL Pipeline , North Slope drilling and Gulf drilling and the fact that there big huge job loses within that industry. Then there's Brazil's oil going to China , you have nothing to say about that?

OK , you ignored the XL Pipeline being on hold , that was on topic. , How about oil production being on the increase on private land but down 40% on lands Obama has control aka public lands. How about Obama killing drilling in the Gulf and on the North Slope? How's about the presidential jet costing $179,000 per flight hour as Obama flies around campaigning? How about oil imports not being our only source of oil , we have reserves here . How's about $1.87 per gallon when Bush left office and the prices being consistently high ever since Obama? The price of fuel has hurt our economy and (off subject ) Obama loaned millions to a company producing solar panels but could not compete with Chinese manufacturers who were subsidized by the Communist government so they could undersell solar panels manufactured here. And back on topic Obama blew the Brazilian deal , China got the contract. I can see if we imported all our oil where China and India needs would be a big factor but we don't.

I'm sure you have a laundry list of ways that Obama is destroying this country, but let's stay on topic (the president and gas prices):
Unless Obama can change the growing demand for oil in India and China, or get oil rich countries to act against their best interests, he won't change gas prices for the better.
Blaming Obama for current gas prices is just another complaint from folks like you and nothing more. If you think of anything he can do to significantly reduce gas prices, let him know. I'm sure he'd be happy to implement them before November.

I do not listen to radio talk shows nor are my allegations about the Obama administration mere assumptions. It's very obvious that our Constitution is being ignored , our 1st and 2nd amendment rights are under serious threat. I am a member of the NRA and A.I.M. and stay informed on the issues. I see first hand generational welfare being extended , continuing job losses and our arrogant president out campaigning on the taxpayers time and dollar. Oil prices, and the rest of the world, is more complicated than, "It's Obama's fault." Unfortunately, conservatives are too angry and indignant that others dare think differently than they to think clearly themselves.
Twocrows: it's said that a conservative Republican will see a hungry person and spit at them right before they tell him to get a job. If conservatives are so pro-life, why don't they care about civilian casualties in all the wars we've fought? Which leads to the question, how could any of them call themselves Christians?

Have you heard of the $5.5 billion Northern Gateway project that will carry 525,000 barrels of crude daily 731 miles through the Rockies from a town near Edmonton to a new port in British Columbia ? Brazil signed with China , who's to say we're gonna get a piece of the action? While our economy suffers Obama is allowing others to flourish. Quite an accomplishment , don't you think? When you are paying $5 per gallon I hope you're still proud to be a Democrat.

We have the knowledge and ability to construct a pipeline from the Canadian border to the gulf without damaging the environment. Obama killed drilling in the gulf , killed the pipeline and killed drilling on the north slope and now wants to blame high fuel prices on Iran.

The majority is going to England. We do not get crude oil, refine it and ship it back to England. England does not have crude oil. Like I said - you can investigate this yourself. I did. We sell this refined gasoline to them because they offer more money than keeping it here for sale to US citizens.

For one thing missed out on the deal for Brazil's oil , China got the contract . Kissing up to environmentalist and stopping the XL Pipeline and having 40% decrease in oil production on public lands . That may have some effect on oil prices.Bush left office with $1.87 per gallon gasoline . Gasoline has been consistently high during Obama's reign . And far as black republicans there are quite a few , however because of their political views they are shunned by blacks in general and keep a low profile.

Did you know that when you change employers that all you have to do is get a certificate of prior insurance and the new company will have to accept you and preexisting conditions cannot be exempted? The Iraqi war was targeted to be ended in the time frame it was prior to Obama's election. And yes he did something about health care , he screwed it up royally. If you care about your Constitutional rights you won't vote for him.

What has now become the #1 export of the US? Feel free to look it up. It is gasoline (not crude oil which we purchase and then process but finished gasoline). It is being sold to Europe where it sells for $8 a gallon, making large amounts of money in taxes for our government that they can't make when we pay $4 a gallon. I can handle $8 a gallon if it gets us past this administration. So if you are suffering ask why our finished gasoline is being sold to other countries and ask who you voted for in 2008.

I will vote for him for many reasons not just because he is a democrat...He signed the Lily Ledbetter Act, he ended the Iraq war, he did something about healthcare, my husband and I will be able to change jobs if we choose to do so, we were unable to do so before now because my daughter has a chronic condition that made it impossible for us to get insurance policy with a new employer. He thinks women should be allowed to get preventative healthcare.

Gas prices aren't helping Obama's bid for re-election either. I say lets get the price of gas up to $5.00 per gallon by Memorial Day. Then, by Labor Day, I would like to see $6.00 per gallon. It will be painful for a while, but at least we know who WILL NOT be residing in the White House come 2012.

Apparently you have had your head buried in the sand these past three years and by the way my grandfathers were Democrats back in their day and there's no need to disrespect my grandfathers by referring to them as my grandpappy. Do you value your freedom, or are you just being so naive that you cannot recognize when your freedoms are being threatened? Obama is bi-racial and I disagree with his white half just as much as with the other. I am a descendent of 6 Revolutionary War Veterans , one in interred at Macedonia Church on Roscoe Road in Coweta county. They are all on my paternal side of family. I find it ironic that I am fighting to preserve what they fought for but not against a foreign entity but our own president and his cronies. As to religion I am aware of the complexity of my environment and realized on my own accord that it just didn't happen. I believe that a greater power had a hand in the Creation and cannot be convinced otherwise.
