Construction finished on Jim Starr Road

by Celia Shortt

Construction on Jim Starr Road near Brooks Elementary School in north Coweta County which caused a backup early Monday afternoon should be completed, school officials said.

According to Doug Moore, director of operations and transportation for the Coweta County School System, crews with Coweta County Public Works were patching some areas of the pavement on Jim Starr Road. Moore said the county expected to finish completely by the time school let out on Monday.

Just prior to school letting out, a traffic backup was reported on the road due to construction, as well as drivers having to be led by a pilot car to navigate through the area.
