Body found on bridge near downtown Atlanta

ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta police are investigating after the discovery of a body on a bridge just south of downtown.

Police say a man walking across the bridge found the body on Elliott Street around 4 a.m. Tuesday, in the city's Castleberry Hill neighborhood.

Authorities say the man appears to have been shot multiple times.

Few other details were immediately available early Tuesday.
