Forecasters confirm weekend tornado near LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga. (AP) — Forecasters say a storm over the weekend produced a low-level tornado in western Georgia.

Meteorologists at the National Weather Service report that a storm Sunday generated a tornado that touched down near LaGrange.

It uprooted and snapped trees that fell onto cars and homes. The tornado also destroyed a greenhouse.

No injuries were reported.
