Atlanta transit system trying to fix glitches

ATLANTA (AP) — Officials with Atlanta's public transit system are working to fix several problems, including glitches in the system used to sell the passes needed to ride. CBS Atlanta reports that escalators broke down during the Labor Day holiday weekend, as visitors to Dragon Con tried to use the MARTA system to get in and out of the downtown area. Purchasing a card to ride the system also became a problem when machines malfunctioned, and would not accept debit or credit cards. MARTA spokesman Ryland McClendon said the system wasn't sending the correct data back to the Breeze card vending machines. MARTA officials said they were working to correct the problems.
