9 hospitalized after crash in Manchester

MANCHESTER, Ga. (AP) – Police in western Georgia say nine people have been hospitalized in a car crash. Georgia State Patrol tells the Ledger-Enquirer of Columbus four people - including a 3-year-old - were airlifted to a local hospital after the two-car accident Thursday afternoon in Manchester. Authorities say medics took five others to a hospital. Details on the extent of their injuries and the cause of the crash were not immediately available. Manchester is about 40 miles northeast of Columbus.
