Marijuana Bust

2 dealers, 2 customers arrested

by WES MAYER

Four men were arrested after another successful drug bust set up by the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit.

The CSU received a warrant to search a home at 1401 Lullwater Circle after an investigator went undercover and purchased marijuana from Tyler Goldsborough and Joel Auzon. Officers came back at 6:50 p.m. Thursday and arrested the two men for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Upon searching the house, officers discovered just under a pound of marijuana, scales and a grinder, a loaded handgun, and $1,575. Three bills, two $10s and a $20, were determined to be counterfeit, and the two men were also charged with forgery in the second degree.

While searching the house, two other men, Michael Preston Cochran and William Blake McCollum, drove to Goldsborough’s home to purchase some of his marijuana. The two obviously had poor timing and were also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and narcotics with intent to purchase.

Editor's note: The Coweta Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office decided not to prosecute Joel Auzon's case on April 21, 2014.
