Community Project

Cleanup Saturday morning in Moreland

by Staff Reports

The Town of Moreland is sponsoring the Moreland Community Cleanup on Saturday.

Mayor Josh Evans said volunteers will gather at the town hall’s parking lot at 9 a.m.

“As a participant in Georgia Cities Week, we will spend this morning cleaning up our town to make it look its best,” Evans said.

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be providing lunch for volunteers.

Evans said people planning to attend are asked to call 678-378-1342 as soon as possible, “so we can get a head count” for lunch.

Evans hopes there will be a large turnout of volunteers to “join us and participate in this community event,” he said. “Please bring any yard tools you have that we could use.”
