Weldon Road property at I-85 among foreclosures

by Sarah Fay Campbell

There are 108 foreclosure related advertisements in today’s edition of The Newnan Times-Herald — the second lowest since July 2007.

There were 102 foreclosure-related advertisements in December, but December numbers tend to be artificially low, as many banks tend to cease or at least slow down foreclosure actions during the Christmas season.

An 81-acre, commercially-zoned tract on Weldon Road at Interstate 85 in Palmetto is among the properties listed.

The property was originally foreclosed in December 2009, when United Community Bank acquired it from Weldon Park Investors. The original owners had planned a commercial development on the property.

The current owners, Asset Holding Company 4 LLC, bought the property from the bank on April 30, 2010.

Another foreclosure in the Palmetto area is the 2-acre tract at 19 Johnston Circle in the North Coweta Industrial Park owned by LSB Holdings LLC.

Other properties include the apartments at 204 Jackson Street and 9 Dixon Street owned by Wood Properties and Investments, and several lots in The Preserve subdivision owned by The Knight Group and Knight Development Inc.
