Grantville Mayor Jim Sells qualified on Monday morning to run for a second term as mayor of Grantville.

His officially qualifying comes less than one month following his announcing a decision to not seek re-election.

Sells said in a prepared statement, “I am committed to the city of Grantville and its residents. After deep personal consideration and extensive conversations with city residents and stakeholders, I resolved that we must finish the good work that we have started.” Sells went on to add, “In the weeks leading up to election day, I look forward to sharing my vision for a better, stronger, and united Grantville.”

Qualifying for the Grantville city election ends Wednesday afternoon.
