Armed robbery suspect sought by Peachtree City authorities

by Staff Reports -

In the early morning hours of July 27, Peachtree City Police officers responded to a residence on Abrell Woods Court after a reported armed robbery.

Two victims at the scene advised that they were approached by an unknown male after exiting their vehicle in the driveway of their residence, and the suspect struck two of the victims with a handgun on the head and demanded their “bag” and their money, said Lt. Mark Brown of the Peachtree City Police Department.

The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6’01” with a medium build and short hair and wearing all black. The suspect was last seen driving a large dark sedan. The victims had just left their place of business, the China Garden restaurant in Union City, GA, and one of them was carrying a bag similar to a bank deposit bag upon exiting their vehicle, Brown said. The victims turned over the cash to the assailant.

The victims advised officers that a vehicle, suspected of following the victims from their business in Union City, was waiting at the end of the driveway and was described as a large dark sedan. Following the robbery the assailant entered the vehicle and it was driven from the scene by another individual.
