Missing Troup teen sought

The Troup County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in locating a 15-year-old girl who has been missing for a week.

Ledia King, who also goes by Dede, was last seen around 2 p.m. on June 16 walking on the 800-block of Rock Mills Road in Troup County, according to the sheriff’s office. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, sandals and a black backpack with “SHAW” written on the back. She may have also been carrying her purse and a hair flattening iron.

The sheriff’s office described King as biracial – black and Hispanic. She is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs around 160 pounds, and her head was last seen entirely shaved. She also has a burn on the back of her right leg.
