Bank offering reward for info on robber

Wells Fargo is offering a reward for any information leading to the arrest of the woman who robbed the Shenandoah bank branch located off Bullsboro Drive at Amlajack Boulevard with a note on Tuesday.

The Shenandoah location is not the first Wells Fargo bank this suspect has robbed, according to Investigator Chad McDonald with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office. The same suspect may have robbed Wells Fargo branches in Fairburn, Roswell and Union City. The Fairburn robbery occurred on Dec. 20, 2013.

Wells Fargo is now offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to the woman’s arrest, McDonald said.

The suspect has been described by authorities as a black woman in her early 20s with a slim build and who is between 5 feet, 3 inches and 5 feet, 6 inches tall. On Wells Fargo’s surveillance photos, she was seen wearing black clothing and a large, black baseball cap with “ATLANTA” written in white letters on the front. She was also seen carrying a large tan and beige handbag.

On Tuesday around 1 p.m., she entered the Wells Fargo bank at the Shenandoah Industrial Park entrance at Amlajack Boulevard and handed the clerk a note that said she had a gun. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.
