Visitation tonight for Zack Harrison

Funeral arrangements have been announced for Zack Harrison, 19, the Newnan High student who died from injuries suffered in a May 22 car accident the day before graduation.

Harrison passed away Friday, May 30, at Atlanta Medical Center.

According to obituary information from McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan, Harrison was born May 25, 1995 in Richmond, VA to Robert Joseph Harrison & Tonya Cothran Harrison. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Frank Harrison & Otto Cothran.

Zack was a 2014 graduating senior at Newnan High School and worked at Papa John's delivering pizza to earn spending money. He was a member of Royal Baptist Church where he was active in the youth group. Zack was a member of Boy Scout Troup 59 where he achieved the rank of Life Scout.

The funeral is Tuesday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at Royal Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Bullard & Rev. Scott Moore officiating.

Visitation is Monday evening between 6 - 8 at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St., Newnan.

A graveside service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery, 3357 Lanes Bridge Road, Jesup, GA 31545 with Rev. Vann Dempsey officiating.

Surviving are his parents, Robert & Tonya Harrison; grandmothers, Mary Jo Harrison of Jesup, GA, Marjorie Cothran of Brunswick, GA; uncle, Frank (Phoebe) Harrison of Oaxaca, Mexico; aunts, Mary Ann (David) Hutto of LaGrange, Angela (Ricky) Smith of Brunswick, Patricia (Chuck) Ribbron of Brunswick, Sandra (Chuck) Boynton of Brunswick; girlfriend, Hope Overton; and numerous cousins.
