by Wes Mayer

Two people were injured in a single-vehicle accident on I-85 in Coweta County after their vehicle overturned numerous times Sunday night.

Around 11:07 p.m., emergency crews responded to mile marker 54 of I-85 northbound in reference to a single-vehicle crash, said Assistant Chief Mitch Coggin with the Coweta County fire Department. When emergency personnel arrived, they found the vehicle had overturned numerous times and came to a rest on all four wheels.

According to Coggin, one male occupant was ejected, and another female occupant was still in the vehicle. She was not entrapped, however. Both were transported by ground Coweta County EMS ambulances to Atlanta Medical Center, Coggin said.
