Tomorrow last Saturday for early voting; early voting ends next Friday

Tomorrow is the last Saturday of early voting for the May 20 primary and nonpartisan election.

Three seats on the Coweta County Board of Education will be determined the nonpartisan election. Voters will also choose party nominees for several state races, and voters in both the Democratic and Republican primaries get to express their opinions on a variety of issues through ballot questions.

Early voting runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Coweta County Voter Registration Office, at 22 East Broad Street, Newnan.

Early voting continues Monday through Friday of next week. Friday is the last day to early vote.

To vote, you must be registered and present a government-issued photo ID. A variety of IDs are acceptable. They include a Georgia Driver’s License valid or expired, any valid state or U.S. issued photo ID, valid U.S. passport, military or trial photo ID, employee photo ID from any branch of federal, state, or local government, or a Georgia Voter ID. Those who do not have an acceptable photo ID can get a free Georgia Voter ID at the voter registration office or at the Georgia Department of Drivers Services.
