Coweta Commission

Multiple public hearings Tuesday

Five public hearings and three conditional use permit requests are on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of the Coweta County Board of Commissioners.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. and is held in the county commission chambers on Perry Street.

Kudzu Productions, adjacent to Raleigh Studios in Senoia, is requesting the removal of a condition that required brick siding on warehouses and sound stages.

There are three requests for rezoning to the county’s new Residential Retirement Community and Care zoning district for retirement communities. The requests are for property on Hollz Parkway, at Arbor Springs, and at Lake Redwine. There is also a conditional use permit request for an assisted living and hospice facility on the Hollz Parkway property.

Vijay Tummala is requesting Office and Institutional zoning for property behind Tractor Supply, to build an assisted living facility.

The commissioners will also vote on a variance for the Arbor Springs property, as well as a conditional amendment for The Odyssey School and a conditional use permit to allow Word of God Lutheran Church to locate on property across from Shoal Creek Drive.

Public hearings have already been held on those three issues, as well as the assisted living conditional use permit, and the commissioners will consider recommendations from the Coweta Board of Zoning Appeals.
