No major injuries in Hwy. 34 accident

Two people received minor injuries Monday night when their vehicle rolled over into a ditch on Georgia Highway 34 East near Baker Road.

Around 6:53 p.m., a truck was involved in a single-vehicle accident which caused it to run off the road and roll over in a ditch, said Captain Craig Sherrer with the Coweta County Fire Department. The two occupants inside were helped out of the truck by bystanders and were not entrapped when emergency responders arrived.

Sherrer said initially, a Life Flight helicopter was dispatched for one of the occupants who was unconscious, but the occupant woke up and refused transport. Authorities were uncertain what caused the truck to run off the road, but no other vehicles were involved.
