Fire Engulfs Apartment Building

The Newnan Fire Department reported to a fire at Jefferson Pointe Apartments on Jefferson Parkway at 3:00 a.m. this morning. 

First arriving responders found an apartment building engulfed in flames. The firefighters took an aggressive attack as the fire spread rapidly to other apartments in the building. Firefighters had to fight freezing hoses and ice on the ground.

The building was evacuated by another tenant before firefighters arrived. No one was trapped and there have been no reported injuries.

As of 10:30 a.m., firefighters were still hitting hot spots.
