Man critical after vehicle struck by train in Palmetto

A man was in critical condition Sunday night after the car he was driving was struck by a train in Palmetto.

The man was ejected from the vehicle. He was taken by air ambulance to Atlanta Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.

The car was pushed nearly a mile by the train, investigators told Fox 5.

Sunday night, investigators were unsure which of the crossings along U.S. 29 just north of the Coweta County line was the scene of the impact.
