Legislators Crane, Stover honored

State Senator Mike Crane, R-Newnan, and State Representative David Stover, R-Palmetto, were presented with the Sentinel of Freedom Award at the Coweta County Republican Party Christmas Party for their service as the most conservative members of the general assembly for 2013.

'We are truly blessed to have such men as these representing us under the Gold Dome,' said Coweta GOP Chairman Brant Frost V.

State Representative Lynn Smith, who was unable to attend the party due to family commitments, was presented the Public Servant Award for her more than three decades of community and public service.

'It takes a special kind of committed person to give so many years of faithful service to their community,' Frost said. 'Lynn Smith is that kind of person.'

Conservative activist Lee Norman was presented with the Volunteer of the Year award for his leading role in a highly successful Coweta GOP fundraiser in November of this year. 'With such men as Lee fighting for our liberties at home and abroad,' said Frost, 'we need not fear for the future of our country.'
