Collections continue until 7 p.m. Tuesday for the 30th annual Coweta community Can-A-Thon organized by the Newnan Junior Service League.

Volunteers were at collection sites on the Court Square in downtown Newnan and at the Goodwill store on Highway 34 East at Thomas Crossroads throughout the morning and afternoon accepting donations of commercially canned and packaged food items and cash donations.

All the food and donations go to stock the Coweta Community Food Pantry on Temple Avenue for year-round assistance.
