The Newnan Social Security Office recently relocated to 246 Bullsboro Drive, the Newnan Office Plaza, Suite B.

The Newnan area Social Security Office has moved to a new location.

On Oct. 28, the office moved from 225 Millard Farmer Industrial Boulevard to 246 Bullsboro Drive, the Newnan Office Plaza, Suite B. A note about the new location has been left at the front door of the building on Millard Farmer Industrial Boulevard.

Frank Viera, deputy regional communications director of the Atlanta Social Security Public Affairs Office, said the office was moved because their lease expired.

“The new office has a larger reception area, new and improved interviewing stations, is easily accessible and has plenty of parking,” Viera said.

Viera said most services do not require a visit to the office. Online at www.socialsecurity.gov, you may apply for Social Security retirement or spouses’ benefits, apply for disability benefits, create a “my Social Security” account, get your benefit verification letter, check your benefit and payment information, change your address and phone number, start or change direct deposit of your benefit payment, apply for extra help with your Medicare prescription drug costs, get a replacement Medicare card or get a form 1099.

You may also call their toll-free number at 1-800-772-1213, Viera said, and phone and online services are available in Spanish.
