Public Safety groundbreaking rescheduled

Due to the high chance of inclement weather early next week, the groundbreaking ceremony for Newnan's new Public Safety Complex will be postponed.

The ceremony was scheduled for Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. - it will now be held on Oct. 10 at 9:30 a.m.

The groundbreaking will kickstart the construction of the 41,000-square-foot complex which is planned to open in late 2014. The $8.5 million funding for the project is being provide by Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax funds.
