The man was believed to be playing basketball with a group by a small church around the 90-block of West Washington St., said Lt. Eddie Attaway with Newnan Police Department. Police are currently searching for two unknown suspects who drove by and fired into the group just before 6:00 p.m.

One man was hit in the stomach and was on the front porch of a home across the street when public safety personnel arrived. He was shortly transported to Atlanta by helicopter which landed in the Westside Plaza shopping center around 6:30 p.m.
