Downtown Newnan art walk tonight

by Staff Reports

Local artists will display everything from oil on canvas to engraving, pottery, photography and acrylics at more than 20 downtown locations from 5-8 p.m. today, as Main Street Newnan kicks off a slate of events with its Spring Art Walk.

Event maps, refreshments and entertainment will be available at various locations, and musicians will entertain at different points along the route.

“I encourage everyone to visit historic downtown Newnan this Friday night,” said Main Street Manager JoAnn Gentry. “Meet and enjoy some of the Southeast’s finest artists, browse through our unique shops and have dinner at one of our delectable restaurants.”

On April 18, more than 8,000 people are expected to visit Newnan to sample fare from local restaurants and caterers as Main Street’s bi-annual Taste of Newnan returns from 5-8:30 p.m.
