County OKs funding for extra SROs at elementaries

School violence and mental health were topics of conversation at Tuesday’s meeting of the Coweta County Board of Commissioners.
Commissioners voted to approve funding for additional school resource officers to serve Coweta’s elementary schools. Sheriff Mike Yeager spoke on behalf of the program and shared his thoughts on how school violence can be prevented, as in the case of the foiled attempt at the University of Central Florida Monday.
