Ad Valorem Tax: Lawmakers tweak new vehicle license law

State law changes approved last week tweak various aspects of the new Title Ad Valorem Tax (TAVT) law, which went into effect on March 1.
House Bill 266 was passed and signed by the governor on Tuesday. It included many of the changes that had been requested by the automobile industry, and cleared up issues with leased vehicles.
