The Coweta County Board of Zoning Appeals meets Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Powell Expo Center off Temple Avenue in Newnan.
There is only one item on the agenda.
Gail and Charles White are seeking a variance at their home at 660 Macedonia Road. They are seeking a reduction in the front yard setback to allow the placement of a 20-by-20 metal car shed. The minimum variance is 55.3 feet, but the request is 60 feet to allow for a small margin of error.
According to the applicants, due to a drainage ditch, power lines and sudden topography changes, there is not another site available from the carport.
The county planning department is recommending approval.
