State Senator Mike Crane (R-Newnan), Rep. Carl Von Epps (D-LaGrange) and Rep. Lynn Smith (R-Newnan) hosted the Newnan Youth Council at the State Capitol on Feb. 26.
“It was a privilege to spend time with the outstanding members of the Newnan Youth Council,” said Crane. “I applaud them for their community involvement and leadership roles they play in our community.”
After the Newnan Youth Council observed the state legislature in process in both the Senate and House galleries, they enjoyed a luncheon sponsored by a large regional employer.
Established in 2008, the Newnan Youth City Council provides governmental leadership training and opportunities to high school students in Coweta County. They are the official youth voice and ambassadors for the city of Newnan.
Crane represents the 28th Senate District, which includes Coweta and Heard counties and portions of Carroll, Fulton and Troup counties.
