Fischer Crossings application withdrawn for reworking

Planned public hearings on requests for changes to the Fischer Crossings development in east Coweta won’t be held on Tuesday, but a public hearing on the county’s sign ordinance will be.
Two public hearings regarding Fischer Crossings at the intersection of Georgia Highways 34 and 54 were on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting of the Coweta County Board of Commissioners.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the county commission chambers.
The new developers of the property, Fischer Partners LLC, requested a modification of the requirements for a Development of Regional Impact. The modifications were granted. Coweta County received notice of the changes on Monday. The modifications granted by the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority will necessitate some changes to the applications.
The applications are for the rezoning of the northern portion of the loop road, and the amendment of some zoning conditions, including a buffer reduction.

The applicant, Steve Gaultney, will be refiling the application with the Coweta County Planning and Zoning Department at a later date, with a new conceptual master plan incorporating the changes.

Items on the Board of Commissioners’ agenda include:

A public hearing on proposed changes to the county’s sign ordinance.

An update regarding the alternative/clean fuel program.

A recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Department regarding the city of Newnan’s petition to annex property on Lower Fayetteville Road.
