Coweta County authorities are asking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who stole more than $2,000 in equipment from a local golf pro shop.
The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office was notified about the shoplifting on Feb. 8, which occurred at the Pro Shop at White Oak Golf Club, 141 Clubview Dr., said Major Jimmy Yarbrough. The theft is believed to have happened Feb. 6 around 11 a.m.
“The suspect entered and left the shop four times, exiting by a different door each time after slipping a golf club down his pants leg each time,” the major said.
Two drivers, a wood and a putter were stolen with a combined value of $2,129.94.
The suspect is a white male, clean shaven with short brown hair, weighing about 200 pounds and between 40 and 50 years of age, according to a description put out by the sheriff’s office.
Anyone with information should contact the sheriff’s office at 770-253-1502, or Investigator Ryan Foles at 678-423-6698.
