Regents agree to buy old hospital for West Georgia campus

The University System of Georgia Board of Regents has agreed to purchase the old Newnan Hospital property on Jackson Street near downtown Newnan for a new satellite University of West Georgia campus. Newnan City Council could vote on contracts for the project on Jan. 22.

The dream of a downtown college campus in Newnan is closer with the University System of Georgia Board of Regents agreeing to purchase the old hospital property on Jackson Street for a new satellite University of West Georgia campus.
