Congressman Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA) has been selected to serve as deputy chairman at the National Republican Congressional Committee by Incoming Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR).
“Lynn Westmoreland is a well-respected leader in the House, and I’m pleased that he will serve as Deputy Chairman at the NRCC,” said Chairman-elect Walden. “Lynn is savvy, thoughtful and a hard worker.”
Westmoreland has served in a leadership role at the NRCC for the past two terms, leading the redistricting effort as the vice chairman for Redistricting. Westmoreland will officially begin his role once the 113th Congress is sworn in next year.
As deputy chairman, Westmoreland will work closely with Walden and the staff at the NRCC.
“I am honored my good friend Greg Walden has asked me to serve as his deputy at the NRCC,” said Westmoreland. “I enjoyed my time as a vice chairman working on candidate recruitment and redistricting and look forward to my new role. I want to thank Greg for this opportunity and his continued leadership.”

Westmoreland serves Georgia’s Third Congressional District and is a resident of the Grantville area of Coweta County.
