Not-very-smart thief has a bitter supper

Nichole Coleman found a mess Friday when she went to the New Leaf Community Garden. Someone butchered broccoli plants, apparently believing the leaves were turnip greens. The food is distributed for free on Saturday mornings.

A thief, hungry and/or dim, hit the New Leaf Community Garden Thursday night — apparently with the intent of having a mess of greens for supper.
