The paving project on Newnan Crossing Bypass will resume today, Newnan city officials said.
Michael Klahr, city engineer, said Tuesday that, due to the weather, the contractor has revised his schedule to work from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will resume work today on the Newnan Crossing Bypass Pavement Rehabilitation Project.
Until the southbound lanes for Newnan Crossing Bypass are complete, he will continue to cut down one left turn lane from Bullsboro Drive onto Newnan Crossing Bypass while his work progresses, Klahr said.
“Milling is complete as is paving with binder in the mainline,” Klahr reported. “The final lift of asphalt is being placed, with one lane completed Monday night.”
