City of Newnan property taxes due on Oct. 31

City of Newnan property tax bills were mailed Sept. 19 with a due date of Oct. 31.
Property owners should be award that postmark dates are not acceptable for on-time payment acceptance, said city officials.
All bills were mailed to the owner on record as of Jan. 1, according to state law. If you are a property or business owner in the city of Newnan and have not received your city tax bill, you may view your information and pay online at www.newnantaxes.com .
Payment may also be made in person at City Hall on LaGrange Street or by mail.
Call the Finance Department at 770-254-2351 for additional information.
Any late payments will result in a penalty added to the amount due, officials said.
