Registration is open for Youth Leadership Coweta, a program designed for high school juniors aimed to develop leadership potential and acquaint participants with community needs, problems and resources through interaction with local leaders and decision-makers.
A partnership between Summit Family YMCA and District 4 Health Services, the program is free to participants but requires a seven-month commitment of approximately two and a half days per month and participation in a service-based learning project.
The deadline to apply is Sept. 25.
Applications must be submitted through high school guidance counselors at Northgate, East Coweta and Newnan high schools, Central Educational Center and The Heritage School. For more information, call Nora Ann Wood at Central Educational Center, 678-423-2000, Ext. 292.
