The annual community picnic hosted by Newnan service group United We Stand for Positive Results and Newnan Housing Authority will be held Sept. 15.
The picnic begins at 3 p.m. behind Burns Chapel Church off Boone Drive at the park behind the Newnan Housing Authority apartments.
This year, United We Stand is honoring longtime volunteer Carrie Pritchett for her lifetime of service to United We Stand, the community and her church. This is the 18th year for the picnic, said Clarence “C-Bo” Bohannon of United We Stand.
“From the staff and members and all friends of United We Stand for Positive Results, we hope and pray we have served the Newnan and Coweta County community in a positive and honorable way and hope to do so in the future,” said Bohannon.
“Also, we can’t tell people what or who to vote for, but be a good citizen and register to vote,” Bohannon added.
