People who donate to Bridging the Gap today can enter a drawing for a Ford Escape.
Alison Wallace, director of BTG, said the vehicle will be on display at the BTG headquarters, 23 Andrews St. just east of downtown Newnan. The promotion will be held from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Wallace said donors are asked to bring a can of food or a roll of toilet paper. BTG will receive a “donation of 40 meals to our food bank for everyone who registers,” Wallace said.
She said the entire process should take “two minutes out of your busy day.”
BTG is also gearing up for its third annual Community-wide Family Fun Day, which will be held Sept. 8 at Royal Baptist Church. A mammoth yard sale will start at 8:30 a.m., and the food and fun will begin at 10:30 a.m.
A petting zoo, pony rides, bouncy castles and all sorts of food and drinks will be available. A $5 wristband will be available that will include all food, drink and activities.
