Coweta County authorities are asking for help in identifying a gunman who robbed a motel near the Moreland exit off Interstate 85 on Sunday.
Around 8:30 p.m., a white male entered America's Best Value Inn, 1344 U.S. Highway 29 South, and asked for a room, according to Major Jimmy Yarbrough with the Coweta County Sheriff's Office.
The suspect then left the motel, got into an older model gray, four-door sedan and left the scene, Yarbrough said.
The suspect is described as bald or balding on top with very short dark or black hair on the sides. He is about 35 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 225 pounds with his stomach protruding from the bottom of his T-shirt.
Anyone with information should call the sheriff's office at 770-253-1502 and ask for Yarbrough or Investigator Kyle Vaughn.
