Coweta County authorities are asking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who stole approximately $500 from a donation jar at a convenience store south of Newnan.
On Aug. 3, just before 3 a.m., the suspect “approached the front counter and grabbed a money donation charge containing approximately $500,” said Major Jimmy Yarbrough with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office. “The offender then ran outside and got into a white sedan and left the scene.”
Yarbrough said the suspect goes by the name “Little D,” but did not know his real name.
“We would appreciate any help in identifying the suspect,” he said.
The incident occurred at the BP service station at 1389 U.S. 29 at the Moreland Interstate 85 exit.
Anyone with information should call the sheriff’s office at 770-253-1502 and ask for Investigator Ryan Foles.
