A Newnan man was arrested and charged after firing a single gunshot at a crowd outside an area bar over the weekend.
No one was hit from the bullet, which was intended for another man which whom the suspect had gotten into a fight earlier at Tequila's on Greenville Street, according to a police report.
A Newnan Police Department said Baizabl and another man got into a fight and that security from the bar removed Baizabl because he "was intoxicated and was causing trouble."
Baizabl returned a few minutes later in a vehicle and fired a single round from a handgun out the passenger side window toward the other man, who was standing in a crowd outside the bar, police reported.
Witnesses gave a description of the shooter, as well as where they believed he lived, the officer said. Police went by Baizabl's residence, but did not find him and then put out a search for the vehicle.
About two hours after the shooting, officers spotted a vehicle matching the description on East Broad Street and attempted to stop it, the officer reported. The driver, later identified as Baizabl, turned into his residence on East Broad where he was arrested.
A search of the vehicle turned up a .40-caliber Beretta under the driver's seat, two loaded magazines and a single .40-caliber shell casing on the floor, according to the police report.
